We build Health Expert Connect™ alongside the teams who use it every day. That means listening to what's working, what's not and where the platform can do more of the heavy lifting for you.
This changelog is a running list of new features, improvements and updates we're shipping to the platform. We update it periodically, so you can see exactly what's changed and what's coming next. If you have questions about any of these updates, reach out to us directly!

The focus of these updates: making the platform easier to use, more transparent and better aligned with how your team works day-to-day.
What's new
Guest Feature: The process of adding, registering and managing guests for events has been streamlined for improved reliability. If your team coordinates event attendance beyond your core speaker and HCP lists, this update reduces friction in getting those guests set up and tracked properly.

Improved Language Support: Events now automatically carry the appropriate language settings for more consistent, localized experiences. For teams running programs across regions or with multilingual audiences, this means fewer manual adjustments and more consistency out of the box.

Report Access by Community: Communities are now associated with reports. Each client can now specify exactly who has access to each report. This gives your team more granular control over data visibility, so the right stakeholders see the right information without extra configuration.

What's coming next
Speaker Cap: We're currently developing a Speaker Cap feature that will enable each client to define the costs that contribute toward a speaker's max spend. This sprint, we're collecting specifications from each client to make sure the new functionality matches everyone's needs.

Looking ahead
Security and Compliance: We're beginning our SOC 2 readiness work to further strengthen our security and operational practices. More details to come as this initiative progresses.

What is Health Expert Connect™?
Health Expert Connect™ is ExtendMed's stakeholder engagement platform built specifically for pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device companies. It brings together the tools teams need to plan, execute and measure stakeholder programs (all in one place, rather than across a patchwork of spreadsheets, emails and disconnected systems).
The platform supports a wide range of engagement activities across the product lifecycle.
-
On the KOL and stakeholder engagement side, that includes live, virtual and hybrid advisory boards, speaker bureau management, steering committee coordination, stakeholder expansion programs and MSL and representative engagement tools.
-
For event and educational program management, HEC powers congress event planning, webcasts, podcasts, video content, journal clubs, clinical trial site training and centers of excellence training.
-
Teams also use the platform for market strategy work like message testing and market access and pricing strategy focus groups, as well as research collaboration through grant management and real-time manuscript collaboration.
Across all of these use cases, the platform handles the operational complexity that makes these programs hard to scale — custom workflows and approval chains, automated compliance tracking (including FMV, NPI validation and Sunshine reporting), segmented communications, branded portals and real-time reporting and analytics. Every client's instance is configured to match their specific SOPs and business rules.
Health Expert Connect™ is available as a full-service offering (where ExtendMed manages everything) or as a licensed platform that pharma teams and medical communications agencies can run themselves — including white-labeled environments for agencies serving their own clients.
