Our story

ExtendMed was founded in 2000 by Amy Ravi with a clear vision: deliver medical education to the right professionals at the right time, around the globe. Drawing on her experience as faculty at Rush University Medical Center in Health Systems Management, Amy recognized that healthcare experts needed better ways to collaborate and share knowledge across geographic boundaries.

What began as a medical education platform has evolved into a full-service technology company serving the life science and broader healthcare industry. Over more than two decades, we've expanded our capabilities to address the full spectrum of stakeholder engagement needs—from KOL advisory boards and speaker bureau management to clinical trial site coordination and publication planning.

Through it all, our north star has remained constant: create efficient systems for engaging experts that ultimately advance patient care. Amy Ravi, Founder & CEO

With more than 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry, Amy is a passionate leader and innovator in community-based engagement, digital marketing and analytics. Amy oversees the strategic direction, vision and execution of ExtendMed's platform and services, leading a talented team of professionals who share her commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.

She holds an MBA in General Management, Marketing, and Organizational Behavior from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and a BA in Psychology from Carleton College.

Before founding ExtendMed, Amy served as Director of Corporate Information at Rush University Medical Center, where she led cross-functional teams in web design, data management and market analytics. She also served on the EHR Selection Committee and was faculty in the Department of Health Systems Management, teaching Introduction to Information Systems.
